ART FOR LIFE
"All art requires courage."
Anne Tucker |
Before and after photographs never stop amazing us. After the restoration is complete, it's hard to imagine that the painting was once ripped, torn, yellowed or so deeply damaged. But the saying "one picture is worth a thousand words" is no more appropriate than in the world of art restoration.
Especially moving for us are the before and after restorations of art damaged by nature -- those pieces which came into our studio after Hurricanes Ivan, Dennis and Katrina.
These pieces, drenched by water, immersed in salt, banged, ripped, torn, and pulled from their stretchers are absolutely remarkable examples of man's ability to recover from nature's devastation.
Our studio is thankful to have been part of their recovery and restoration.
We also want to express our gratitude to the owners of all the pieces we've restored. We are thankful that you choose to restore the art rather than discard it.
"Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt,
and poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen." |
