Although a short stint wearing Army greens in Vietnam
interrupted my artist dreams, I've been immersed in art ever
since. I've owned two successful fine art galleries
specializing in 19th, 20th and 21st century fine art -- one
in Hartford, Connecticut and one in the Pensacola, Florida
area. As a full-time art restorer and artist, I am
privileged to have one of the best jobs in the world -
bringing damaged, yellowed and troubled artwork back to
life. Who could ask for a better job!
As a professional framer, art dealer and artist, I've
handled thousands upon thousands of paintings in all media
-- oil, acrylics, watercolor, mixed media, prints,
lithographs, and engravings.
In addition to conducting art classes and lecturing on art
techniques & art history, I've judged and sponsored
numerous fine art shows.
My studio is located along the beautiful Gulf Coast of
Northwest Florida in the Pensacola area. This idyllic
community is home to the Navy's famous Blue Angels and the
training ground for our country's best pilots. Along
with wonderful art galleries, historic areas, antique shops
and America's number one beaches, we boast great year-round
weather. Except, of course, during hurricane season.
On the personal
side, I've been married for 29 years to my wife, Irene, who
works at the University of West Florida and is also an
inspirational writer and speaker at Christian women's
conferences
and retreats (www.daringdaughters.net). We have a sweet
little beagle-mix dog named "Lillie Millie" and are the
proud grandparents of two sets of absolutely beautiful twins, Gia and
Dante, and Lourdes and Luca.

move us or soothe us
but in its drips and dots and brushstrokes
we often find
a bit of ourselves."
